Frequently Asked Wedding Questions

1. When should I order my dress?

Give yourself as much time as possible when ordering your dress; we both can and have worked to extremely tight timescales, but this can impact on your peace of mind in the run-up to your big day.

2. I want to diet before the wedding - what should I do about ordering my dress?

We understand you want to look your best for your big day; in this case we would suggest ordering your gown in a comfortable size, usually the size you are on the day of ordering. Should you then loose more inches than expected the dress can be taken in, but should you not do as well as you would have liked, the dress will still be a fantastic fit.

3. I have bridesmaids of different ages, what is available for them?

A selection of our styles are available in adult, teen and child variations; or if you prefer, our Flower girl dresses can be colour co-ordinated with the adult styles. We recommend that your bridesmaids accompany you when you come dress hunting, this helps you to visualize more easily the finished effect.

4. I want to have the colour of my bridesmaids dresses included throughout the wedding, is that possible?

We love finding ways of bringing your colour scheme into your wedding for a truely co-ordinated look; from the mens accessories to table napkins and ring cushions, please ask us about this service when you call in.

5. My wedding is less than 6 months away; will I be able to have a wedding dress?

There are a number of ways we can help should your wedding be close, so don't panic. Call in and have a chat with us about the various options open to you.

6. How do I pay for my dress?

We require a 50% deposit when you order your dress, with the remaining balance payable when your gown arrives. We accept cash, cheque and major credit and debit cards.

7. Will my dress need alterations?

It is possible that your dress will need some adjustments in order to ensure a perfect fit. Our qualified seamstress will look after you and your gown to ensure that you look and feel a million dollars on your dream day.

8. Will I have to pay for alterations?

Our alterations service is available to all brides, bridesmaids and others who wish to avail themselves of it, but due to the specialized nature and time involved in altering your gown, a charge will be made for all alterations.

9. Do I have to make an appointment to try on your dresses?

Although it is not necessary to have an appointment we do recommend them if you are visiting us on a Saturday or on one of our popular "Designer Days". At any other time we have an open house policy when you are very welcome at a time convenient to you. Appointments are required for all alterations fittings.
